100 Word Challenge Week #19

Darkness
Scared and surrounded with darkness, all I could hear was the roaring thunder. Soon after flashes of white lightning filled the night sky. Immediately, I looked for a candle to light the house, knowing it would not last me long. Finally lighting the candle, I stood by the light as the flame flickered and went out. Left in the obscure darkness, terrified, trying to fall a asleep, only know I would not sleep, not even rest my body.

Scared
The dead silence surrounded my room, as thunder roared through the night sky. Thoughts swam through my mind, as I raced to look out the window, showing off my orange striped pyjamas. Being terrified from the loud boom, I lay in my bed, with eyes glued at my clock. Immediately, I heard it again. Louder this time. In total shock, I raced to my parent's room and feeling the comfort of my mom's arm, I felt I was very safe. Only to know I would not be able to fall asleep anytime soon, because the thunder has been going for the whole night.

Bright light
Being very tired from a long day of gardening, I realized I needed a break. Spotting a yellow bright light, I ran, ready to see what that light was. Racing through the woods and jumping over puddles, I saw a mysterious staircase leading to the unknown. Putting my foot on the first step, I raced to the top, taking in the delightful view of the fascinating ocean. Immediately, my eyes gazed at mountains of money just waiting for me to take it.
"Beep, beep, beep". Just then my alarm went, and in total shock, I realized it was all a dream.

Storm
The blue waves crashed against the shoreline, as my feet were buried in the golden sand. Skipping rocks and taking in the nice day, I suddenly saw a grey cloud hover over the water, with wind picking up incredible speeds. I immediately ran to the nearest place I could see with shelter, as the rain started to get heavy. Flashes of white filled the sky getting bigger every minute. Thunder followed not long after with big booms almost shaking the ground. I hid, terrified of what would happen, knowing I will not be leaving this place any time soon.

100 WC week #15

Different
I've always wanted to be different. Being a green trash can isn't easy. Staring over the horizon with the reflection of the trees is boring. The same shiny grey bottles enter my body, as I stand still just waiting for people to laugh and make fun of my odd shape. People are always flashing photos of the wild animals and the blue rivers, but nobody ever notices me. Worst of all, people disrespect me as they put rotten fruit and moldy cheese in my body, which makes me want to throw up. I have always dreamed of once stretching my legs and being like everyone else.

                                                                   The Birthday Box
Walking down the stairs, noticing a shiny green wrapped box, I immediately started to stare, with eyes glued to the present. Thoughts were racing through my mind,  as I began running through the house looking for my parents, noticing an empty house.
"Happy Birthday!" My parents hollered.
Being extremely surprised with a big smile on my face, I turned to give my parents a hug then ran to the present. Unwrapping the present, I put my hand in the box and felt the shoes I have been wanting forever. Just then my alarm beeped and I woke up stunned, remembering my birthday is six months away.

Zit

Staring at my dreaded face through the mirror, I immediately turned for my moms advice.
"Mom!" I yelled across the hall.
"What?" she hollered back.
Just then she rushed in with a frightened look on her face.
"What is that?" she said almost looking disgusted, pointing at the red spot on my face.
Unable to answer she bolted off and returned with acne cream. Spreading the white goo on my face, thinking it would help, but the spot just grew and grew until it took up most my face. I then ran to my room, slammed the door, and told my mom I will not be going to school tomorrow.
